ANDREA - a full time Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi instructor.

I fell in love with yoga over seven years ago, when I got a Nintendo DS and bought a game called Let's Yoga. From then, I began 'playing' yoga everyday, sometimes twice a day. At first, the practice was more physical for me, but after few months I started to really count on yoga to bring me a sense of calm during especially chaotic days. Soon after, I began recognizing the benefits of a regular asana and meditation practice and continued to incorporate yoga daily - not just during times of chaos. I found myself feeling more energized, more compassionate, happier, and with more awareness. Now, I teach full-time and couldn't be happier to do what I love. What began as a physical practice for strength and flexibility quickly became a lifestyle. I teach my students to take their yoga off the mat and apply the principles learned in the class to their lives outside of the studio. I do not only teach my philosophy, I live it.

So I am in a process of moving to a nice flat and I will have an awesome space to practice my yoga :D

Also, because I am teaching more and more, my time is precious and I need to plan my timetable to be the most sufficient so I can do my best all the time, in all classes :)

Great news regarding my timetable changes from September!! :)

Good evening everyone!! :)

I just got a confirmation regarding of the Pure Gym Yoga class - yes, it WILL be moved to THURSDAY 8.15pm (instead of Friday)! :) I really hope you can all make it!!!!
  • I just wrote an email to HRLC manager (he was already gone when I rang) that I need to change the class to Friday 7.50pm or cancel it. Sorry ladies :( I just don't like coming home after 10pm....
- an update from HRLC - after receiving a kind of rude email to resign with a huge help of some of you I got an email we can try the Friday classes - no confirmation yet - I'll keep you updated
I know you like me, my classes... And I am still teaching there, because you are so lovely and I really enjoy teaching YOU!!!!! I teach there only 1 class - so if you want me still there - you better fight for me - now it's your time to show support!
  • Tiddenfoot Monday 6pm Pilates will stay as it is till further notice :P

Few changes in my timetable from 1st Sept 2015

Good morning my lovely yogis and yoginis!

I know there is so many of you that come to my classes, and I can't tell you how happy you make me by attending them and doing your best. It is so great to see you all improving and having fun during my classes :)

My timetable is getting busier and busier, so I needed to make few changes, cos I really need at least one day off, just to myself to recharge my batteries and be always ready for you :)

So here is what will change from 1st Sept.:

  • Wednesday Pure Gym 8pm yoga class will be moved to Friday 8pm - I hope many of you can still come to this one - sorry if it causes inconvenience for anyone of you (but I seriously need 1 day off :()
  • Friday Tru Gym 6pm Pilates class's time will change to 5.30pm - just got a confirmation of a change last night - I hope it will not make such a big difference
  • Friday Bannatyne's 7.15pm yoga class will finally change to 6.30pm - this is a big help for my time - this way I can squeeze into my schedule 2 more classes - thank you James for it! :)

I was thinking about my Tiddenfoot class too, because it takes me a lot of time to get there and then to my next one. I will probably have to cancel that one class I am teaching there to make my running around easier, so I have asked the management in HRLC if they possibly could change my Thursday 8,30pm class to Monday 6.45pm, so we will see what will happen. Because for the Thursday class, I don't want to get home so late from my classes, cos I am teaching from early morning on Friday :/ but - we will have to see what will happen - these 2 classes are not changing at this moment - these are only my thoughts...

Top 5 Reasons to Become a Yoga Teacher…

#1 – Inspire Students & Change Lives – There are very few jobs that provide you with the opportunity to impact the lives of so many people on a daily basis. Every time you get up in front of a class of yoga students, you’ll have the opportunity to truly inspire people. That’s an amazing gift and a rare and rewarding job to have.

#2 – Deepen Your Practice – Students come to class looking for guidance, but they also give back to you (as the teacher) an incredible amount of energy and insight. You’ll be amazed how much you learn from teaching yoga. Teaching is a powerful way to deepen your own practice and understanding of yoga.

#3 – Enjoy a Flexible Schedule – Most yoga teachers I know only work three-to-four hours each day, and the rest of their time is theirs to do as they please. If you’re like me, you have tons of other interests in life that you haven’t had time to pursue because you’ve been working full-time, often in a job that you’re not passionate about.

#4 – Earn a Good Salary – Years ago, most yoga teachers hardly earned enough to get by; but today, certified yoga teachers are highly specialized and highly valued employees who are paid well for their work. While yoga teaching is not likely to make you rich, you can live a financially comfortable and exciting life as a teacher. For me, I never imagined the personal and financial freedom I’ve realized today, much more so than I had in my former life.

#5 – Live and Breathe Yoga – Let’s face it, living a healthy lifestyle is not easy. When I started down the path of yoga, all my old friends were living very toxic lifestyles. When I became a yoga teacher, that all changed. My new friends and co-workers loved yoga, and just like me, they were committed to healthy living. There’s nothing more powerful than having a positive peer group, and for many teachers, this often leads to a revolution in your personal health and lifestyle.
